Don’t go to this place if:  1. you like to wash your hands before you eat.  Apparently they have no bathroom even though I believe that is a health department requirement. 2.  You don’t have cash.  They except no out of town checks, debit or credit cards.  I suppose that is why they named their place “Kinfolk” because if you are not from their town, they don’t want your business. They really turned me off of Mountain View as a whole, being small minded and self-serving is not exactly in line with calling yourself a tourist location. So, we ate at the Mexican restaurant on the square.  I figure if locals like the Kinfolk Barbecue don’t like tourists, they sure don’t like the Mexican restaurant so we should give them our money.  We ended up with the better deal, the food was amazing and so was the service.  I know we will return to Mountain View someday but we will never go back to Kinfolk – and by the way – if you don’t accept debit or credit cards in 2012 – you might want to put the sign on your door instead of your register – save people the trouble and embarrassment of coming in at all. Better yet hang a shingle that says “If you aint from around here git on outta here – cause we don’t serve no foreigners”.

We love Kinfolks!! Their burgers are to die for, and you cannot get a salad that’s more unique or delicious as Aunt Minnie’s Pig Salad! Our service is always exceptional, whether it is to go, or inside. Keep it up Kinfolks!! :)

Real good food but very RUDE service. The owner must not like baby’s my hands were full and received a RUDE comment when trying to pay! I’m a volunteer firefighter in the community called to protect and serve Stone county folks and to receive such RUDE mannerism from one of my favorite establishments is just appalling. The food is good but not that good to put up with unprofessional service. Will not patronage again!
