Comfort Foods Cooking Class
January 11 – 10:am
Ozark Folk Center
What did the Ozark Homesteaders eat to keep warm and fed during the winter? Join us on January 11, from 10:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m. in the Skillet Restaurant Kitchen at the Ozark Folk Center for this Comfort Food cooking class and learn how to make these simple, inexpensive, healthy, old-fashioned winter meals handed down from early settlers.
You’ll learn to make simple stews, bean soups and Ozark pudding. Recipes, history and instructions will be provided for each dish. Lunch will be a chance to sample what you have cooked in class.
Class cost is $30.00. There is a non-refundable registration fee of $10 and the remaining $20 is due at the beginning of class. Meet your instructor at 10 a.m. in the Administration Building lobby and go from there to your classroom.
